CELEBRATE MEMORIAL DAY – Memorial Day is the day we pause to give
thanks to the people who fought for the things we have as Americans. Our
veterans have preserved our freedom of religion, freedom of the press,
freedom of speech, freedom to assemble, the right to a fair trial, and
the right to vote. Take a moment to reflect on all we take for granted
and those whose sacrifices make it possible.
BOOT CAMP FOR DISABLED VETERANS -- The Entrepreneurship Boot Camp
for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV) provides free business training for
veterans. Florida State University hosts EBV, an intensive training
program for veterans from all branches who have been disabled as a
result of their post-September 11 service. As a result of the generous
support of the EBV Universities and the private giving of individuals
and corporations, all costs are covered including travel, lodging, and
meals for delegates accepted to the EBV. Training consists of a nine-day
residency at one of the four EBV Universities. To apply for the 2011 FSU
EBV program go to: cob.fsu.edu/ebv/2010main.cfm.
