LOCAL MANUFACTURER WINS FEDERAL CONTRACT -- Adsil, a Daytona
Beach manufacturer of protective and energy-saving coatings, has been
awarded contracts by the U.S. National Park Service and U.S. Postal
Service to apply its clear coating to HVAC systems throughout the
southeast. Federal EPA tests have shown that the coating applied to HVAC
systems mitigates corrosion and reduces electricity use by 12 percent.
In addition to reducing the carbon footprint, Adsil's patented coating
also can be applied to metal, ceramic, and ceramic/concrete to protect

SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT TO SPEAK ON EDUCATION AND OUR WORKFORCE --

TASK FORCES FOCUSED ON SMALL BUSINESS CONTRACTING WITH FEDS --
Two task forces have been established that are aimed at improving small
business contracting with federal agencies. These task forces will work
with various federal agencies to remove barriers to accessing federal
contracts, and will monitor goals for federal contracting with small

VOLUSIA REPRESENTED AT BIO INTERNATIONAL – Florida is one of the
top 10 biocenters in the U.S. and is one of the fastest growing states
in the biosciences industry. The Volusia County Department of Economic
Development partnered with the Florida High-Tech Corridor to participate
in the Bio International Show in Chicago as part of the Florida
pavilion. Contacts made at the show will be invited to consider Volusia
County for relocation and expansion.

PTAC HELPS SMALL BUSINESS SELL TO GOVERNMENTS -- The Procurement
Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) assists small businesses that are
interested in selling to federal, state or local governments. The PTAC
is part of the Florida Small Business Development Center Network that
provides assistance to start-up and established businesses in the state.
