of surveyed employers plan to hire new workers next year for fulltime,
permanent jobs (up from 14 percent in 2009). Meanwhile, 9 percent say

the 2,720 hiring managers and personnel executives surveyed (61

businesses and self-employed is filled with useful information to help
you tend to your small business concerns. Available in English and
Spanish (as Publication 1518SP) this calendar offers tax
reminders/instructions shown by date, and highlights a different tax
topic each month. In addition, the last few pages offer tips for
business success, a list of forms and publications and a tear-out sheet
of quick reference items. Visit
www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p1518.pdf to print a copy of the calendar,
or use the online version found at
www.tax.gov/calendar.
RECOVERY ACT TAX BENEFITS – Go to

GREEN TIP OF THE WEEK – Don't take the ATM receipt. ATM receipts
are one of the top sources of litter on the planet. If everyone in the
U.S. declined the option of printing an ATM receipt, it would save a
roll of paper more than 2 billion feet long…enough to circle the equator
15 times.
